November is here and Thanksgiving is around the corner! It is the perfect time to reflect and remind ourselves both
1. Why we do what we do
2. We have a lot to be grateful for
Here is a personal challenge (no prizes - except for the warm fuzzies you may receive) - #gratitudesnaps from Tara Martin
I'll add - post it where you want (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). It doesn't have to be every day - but I'd challenge you at least once a week for the month. And if you are thankful for a person - let them know! Send that person a special note/text/email.
Two more days - but the connecting doesn't have to stop! Keep on the hunt for connections!

Close your eyes (after reading this sentence), picture yourself walking into your favorite coffee shop.
If you do not have a favorite coffee shop, picture a Starbucks.
The creation of the "tech café" is to capture the essence of a coffee shop - the casual and friendly atmosphere - in an online version. A place that you can visit on your time and stay as long as you desire. You can "sit" with friends and have discussions or enjoy quiet time at a table for one.
The "shop" will be Google Classroom. If you'd like to join - email Carol for the join code. The menu will have lots of technology tastings: resources, videos, and more.
The Café is open (24/7). Feel free to stop in (with the join code) and enjoy a fresh serving of knowledge :)

Who knew that one key on a keyboard could add such magic? I love the shift key! I know that you shouldn't show partiality to your keys on your keyboard...but once I found out about--
I am crazy about this shortcut! It not only pastes your copied text, but it pastes it without the formatting!
Be sure to check out more of shortcuts and PowerUP in SPEED! Take note of the special "shift" key :)
Based off of Alice Keeler's CoffeeEDU. Our CoffeeEDU is open to all USD 418 educators and geared specifically to two groups on two different days (elementary and then secondary).
CoffeeEDU is a one hour "unconference" atmosphere. Unconference means that you are in charge of your learning -- you choose the topic/table to join and learn.
It is a time for collaboration, learning, fun and FREE coffee :)
